'Carmina Burana' participatory (11/02/2018)

On Sunday, February 11, 2018, Simon Halsey, artistic director of the choirs of the Orfeó Català, repeated the successful proposal begun in 2016 and once again invited singers from all over to rehersal and sing with the choirs of the Orfeó Català in a participatory activity open to the public. The play that was performed was Carmina Burana of Carl Orff.

A total of 450 singers sang together this renowned cantata in the Concert Hall, in a concert open to the public, accompanied by the Orfeó Català, Cor de Noies, Cor Jove and Cor Mitjans of the Orfeó Català, Percussions of Barcelona, the pianists Josep Buforn and Josep Surinyac and the soloists Serena Sáenz Molinero, Beñat Egiarte and Toni Marsol.

We leave you some images of the concert made by photographer Martí E. Berenguer.
