Esteve Nabona, conductor of the Cor Jove, and Pau Casan its pianist, work as a team to ensure that the Cor Jove de l'Orfeó Català excels as an enthusiastic, committed group.

He has been conductor of the Ars Subtilior chamber choir (1986-1992), Cor Albada de l’Agrupació Cor Madrigal (1995-2007), Ensemble Vocal Cambra 16 (1998-2005) and the Ramon Llull university choir (2006-2012) and y Cor Jove dels Països Catalans (2010-2015). Between 2000 and 2006 he held the position of assistant conductor of the Cor de Cambra of the Palau de la Música Catalana. He currently combines the jobs of conducting the Cor Jove of the Orfeó Català with the direction of the Escola Coral of the Orfeó Català and of theand of the social and educational project Clavé XXI.
In his career as a conductor, he has given concerts around the Catalan-speaking lands, Castile, the Basque Country, Portugal, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. He has also run various choral workshops around Catalonia, Chile, the Canary Islands, Andalusia, Euskadi and Asturias. He has conducted ensembles including the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, the Orquestra de Cambra Terrassa 48, the Orquestra Joves Intèrprets de Catalunya, the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra, the Orquestra Barroca Catalana, the Ensemble Méridien, the Orquestra Camera Musicae and the Orquestra Barroca Ars Musicae.
Pau Casan, pianist

He formed with M. Farré, G. Fergus-Thompson and R. Vignoles at the Royal College of Music in London. First prize of the 23rd Joan Massià Contest and prize for the best pianist of the 22nd Ciutat de Berga Prize, he has performed in Spain, France, Portugal, Denmark, Germany, Finland, the United Kingdom and Colombia. He has a CD with solo piano works and accompanying the soprano A. Mateu (Columna Música).
He combines concert activity with teaching at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Liceu and collaborates habitually with the Gran Teatre del Liceu. He is the pianist of the Cor infantil and the Cor Jove of the Orfeó Català.
